Our Story

It began with gifting personal instruments to local musicians in Colorado. Musicians who received gifted instruments were able to expand their musical horizons and sharing. This experience was a win/win for both giver and receiver. I began the search for broader horizons in the world of giving. The music of the Cuban People was very intriguing…….

Why give to musicians in Cuba? Cuban music is inspiring, unique and in need of all types of instruments. People in the United States have an abundance of unused instruments languishing in garages and storage containers. The musicians in Cuba struggle on a daily basis to obtain food & lodging and without extra money, the acquisition of instruments is extremely difficult. Many instruments in Cuba are in such disrepair they limit the music or aren’t even playable.

Mantanzas, Cuba

I discovered a small but vibrant music school and art studio in Mantanzas. “Escuela Profesional de Artes de Mantanzas” is next to “Galeria Taller” art studio. Both studios exude an air of excitement and vitality and the sound of music learning drifts through open doors onto the street. This has become my primary connection for importing instruments toCuba. The director of this school has considerable experience importing and exporting sculptures between the U.S.A. and Cuba. It is through this connection that I am establishing a transportation plan that meets the requirements of both governments.

Art & Music

In Mantanzas Cuba, sculpture and music are combined into a creative curriculum. Cuba hosts many different styles of music including Salsa, Classical and Jazz. Most students share instruments provided by public education. Instruments to Cuba inc. will distribute instruments to schools and directly to individuals thru the public music schools.
